This will be my 14th summer with Camp Squankum. I cannot imagine my summer without Camp Squankum. From the early stages of planning and creating this camp environment up to this coming summer season, camp has felt like an extension of my family. Camp Squankum truly has a part of my heart. I love knowing that we have helped to create a positive and engaging summer experience for our campers.

In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. My favorite color is periwinkle blue.

I have earned a BA English from Rowan University and MS Instruction from Drexel University.

When I am not at camp, you can find me teaching English at Rowan College, Atlantic Cape Community College, and Cumberland County College.

Damon Redden
Damon ReddenDirector of the CIT program
This will be my 13th year at Camp Squankum. I am currently the Director of our CIT program. I attended Temple University as an undergrad and majored in Secondary English Education. I have also earned master’s degree in the art of teaching. I have been a resident of Monroe Township since the summer of 2001 and have taught English at Williamstown High School since 2005. I love Camp Squankum for the same reasons I love teaching. The difficult times at camp and school can be overwhelming and discouraging, but the good times are so good, I could not imagine doing anything else. I love to eat; therefore, I work hard at the gym to balance my weight. I love to work out in order to challenge myself and I like to work out in groups to experience the struggle with others. My favorite color is blue which works well with my employment at WHS.

I was a camper at camp squankum for five years & this year will be my 3rd year working at camp. My hobbies are playing field hockey, running track & hanging out with my friends. This coming fall I will be a senior at Williamstown high school. My favorite color is yellow because it’s such a bright and happy color. Since the first summer I started at camp I couldn’t get enough, I always felt super welcomed and in a safe environment. At the end of each school year I would be so excited to start camp. Now working at camp I love every second of it, seeing all of the kids happy faces everyday & watching them have so much fun makes everything about working at camp so amazing.

Hi everyone I’m Miss Heather!

I am a 3rd grade special education teacher during the school year. I have been teaching for 4 years and I love what I do!

I have been at Camp Squankum for 5 years! I was the head counselor for the Indians and now hold the role of Director of Activities. I love spending my summers at camp. Each and every year holds a special place in my heart.

We have a lot of fun and do so many fun things! I love the trips that we go on, the different themes and the fun games we played throughout the week. All of that is wonderful but nothing beats the time we get to spend together, the friends we have made and the memories that will last a life time. I love being a part of the Squankum Family!

Hello everyone! I am Miss Carlotta and I have been with Camp Squankum since its inception in 2007. I have been a camper, cit, and now a camp counselor. I am proud to say I still have a camp shirt from each year and each campout. Presently I attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angles pursuing a BFA in Acting. I am currently a Sophomore. I love going to the beach, eating ice cream and hanging out with my friends and family. What I like most about Camp Squankum is getting to know the kids in my bunk over the summer, and then seeing them the next year when they come to visit my bunk to say hello. I hope to share my passion for drama with the camp by incorporating what I am learning into a bunk rotation.

Hi I’m Miss Tia, I’ve been at Camp Squankum since its pilot year. I started as a CIT. I enjoy the gym and spending time with family and friends. I just finished my junior year as a secondary education major with Math concentration. I do love camp, it’s such a fun experience and to see so many of the kids start off as “Indians” and move up to other bunks makes me feel like we, as a staff, have a great impact on them and make their summer a little more fun.

My name is Alyssa Meglino. I’ve been at camp for 12 years now, starting at the Braves bunk as a camper and this is my 4th year of being a counselor. My favorite hobbies are playing soccer, going to the beach, and hanging out with my friends. I am going to be a Sophmore of Rowan College of South Jersey in the fall.
